AmyJ Designs Daffodils in Spring Minunee Blanket Yarn Pack

Welcome to the Minunee Blanket from AmyJ Designs!  This new yarn pack Daffodils in Spring version is inspired by the designer, Kathryn’s, love for the gorgeous pops of colour brought by these flowers into the lush green of springtime gardens.

Kathryn says:  “I am a Yorkshire lass, born and bred, although now living over the border in Derbyshire.  I suffer from osteoarthritis and had a full knee replacement in 2019.  Prior to my operation, I would frequently refer to my left knee as “my bad knee”.  This very quickly changed after the operation to “my new knee”.

I took my new knee out for small regular walks and my new knee was amazing!  I did all the exercises recommended for my new knee and at my second physio appointment they signed me off and told me my new knee was doing just fine.   had no pain in my new knee and, for the first time in six years, I needed no painkillers.

Within six weeks I was walking with no aids.  By Christmas my new knee took me for a lovely five mile walk around Grasmere Lake.  My new knee was the best thing since sliced bread…are you there yet…?!  Let me help you out…ready…think Sean Bean and that fabulous Yorkshire accent – my new knee becomes mi-nu-nee!  Tadah!”

This yarn pack contains 22 balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the following shades and quantities:

• 4 x Stylecraft Special DK – Spring Green (1316) – 100g
• 4 x Stylecraft Special DK – Jaffa (1256) – 100g
• 4 x Stylecraft Special DK – Sunshine (1114) – 100g
• 3 x Stylecraft Special DK – Saffron (1081) – 100g
• 2 x Stylecraft Special DK – Kelly Green (1826) – 100g
• 5 x Stylecraft Special DK – Cream (1005) – 100g

You will also need a 4 mm crochet hook.  The finished blanket will measure approximately 200 cm x 125 cm when worked with a tension of 20dc (US) to 10 cm.

Please also note:  Pack quantities are given for this project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern.. if a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer’s, additional yarn my be required.
