Cherry Heart – WeekEnder Blanket Yarn Pack

Create a stunning modular blanket with the WeekEnder Blanket Yarn Pack by Sandra Paul of Cherry Heart. Originally designed during her Blanket-Along in March 2015, Sandra named it WeekEnder because she worked on it only during weekends. This approach allowed her to gradually build a beautiful lap or smaller bed blanket.

The blanket features a modular hexagon design, with joins made through the corners of each hexagon. This method gives the blanket a unique texture and allows you to experiment with colour combinations as you go.

This pack contains 15 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g each) in the following shades:

The designer rates this pattern as Easy/Improver. You will use basic crochet stitches along with a “join as you go” technique, making it perfect for someone ready to explore modular blanket construction.

Finished Blanket Size

The completed blanket measures approximately 158 cm x 130 cm (62″ x 51″), and the yarn quantities listed correspond to this size.

Note: The pattern is not included with the yarn pack. You can purchase and download a PDF pattern (available in UK and US terms) here. The PDF includes a layout diagram with colour breakdown, crochet charts for each motif and border, clear instructions, and stitch abbreviations.

Please note:  Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern.  If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer’s, additional yarn may be required.
