About the Crochet-Along

A Life Inspired is a vibrant crochet-along (CAL) created for Crochet Now magazine by Stylecraft Blogstar Helen Shrimpton of Crystals and Crochet. Designed for advancing beginner and intermediate crocheters, this project offers both creativity and skill-building in one beautiful blanket.

CAL Structure & Design

First launched in issue 40 of Crochet Now, the CAL ran across 13 magazine issues. Each issue introduced a new square, resulting in 12 stunning squares in total. Throughout the project, crocheters work a variety of detailed and engaging stitches, before completing the blanket with a final section focused on joining and edging.

Yarn Pack Contents

The Happiness colourway yarn pack includes 23 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g), a soft, durable, 100% acrylic yarn, in the following shades:

• 3 x Jaffa (1256)

• 3 x Empire (1829)

• 4 x Sunshine (1114)

• 5 x Emperor (1425)

• 2 x Bright Pink (1435)

• 3 x Bright Green (1259)

• 3 x Wisteria (1432)

Tools Required

To complete the blanket, you will also need a 4.00mm crochet hook.
