Helen Shrimpton Rectangulations Yarn Packs

From the mind of Helen Shrimpton from Crystals and Crochet…

Starting with a Mandala at the centre, and two rows of small squares, Rectangulation gradually builds out to form layers of different stitches, giving texture and a flowing theme to this blanket design.

To round 33, you will have a 20 inch square, this part of the design can be replaced by any of Helen’s large squares. Rounds 34 to 88 allows you to grow any of the large squares to a full size rectangular blanket.

The warm nights yarn pack contains 17 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g), a 100% acrylic yarn, in the following shades and quantities:

• 3 x Camel (1420)
• 2 x Clementine (1853)
• 2 x Spice (1711)
• 2 x Tomato (1723)
• 2 x Mustard (1823)
• 2 x Walnut (1054)
• 2 x Parchment (1218)
• 1 x Gold (1709)
• 1 x Meadow (1065)

The Ocean breeze yarn pack contains 18 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g), a 100% acrylic yarn, in the following shades and quantities:

• 5 x Cream (1005)
• 4 x Duck Egg (1820)
• 3 x Aspen (1422)
• 3 x Teal (1062)
• 3 x Powder Pink (1843)

The raspberry sundae yarn pack contains 17 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g), a 100% acrylic yarn, in the following shades and quantities:

• 6 x Cream (1005)
• 4 x Raspberry (1023)
• 3 x Pale Rose (1080)
• 2 x Burgundy (1035)
• 2 x Lincoln (1834)

You will also need a 4.00mm crochet hook.

Please also note: Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the pattern.  If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer’s, additional yarn may be required.
