✨ What Is Interlining?
- A layer of fabric placed between the outer fabric and the lining of a garment.
- It’s usually hidden from view, sandwiched inside to improve how the garment wears or behaves.
🎯 Purposes of Interlining
- Insulation: Keeps the wearer warm—common in coats or jackets.
- Structure: Adds firmness to soft or drapey materials.
- Durability: Helps garments maintain their shape over time.
- Comfort: Can soften rough outer fabrics or make a piece feel more luxurious.

🔍 Difference vs. Lining & Interfacing
- Lining: Covers the inside for a clean finish and easier wear.
- Interfacing: Used to reinforce areas like collars or button plackets.
